French to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) / Nursing transcript | | French term or phrase: SI en obstétrique | | I am translating a transcript in French from a nursing school in Haiti. In several instances, "SI en" appears, followed by "obstétrique," "gynécologie," "néonatologie," "médicine" and "pédiatrie." It appears to be some sort of on-the-job experience, since this is "Niveau II". I have found other instances of this on the Internet, but I'm not certain as to the exact meaning. |

SJDL might be well be right, but SI could also stand for "Soins Infirmiers".
Pity the traditional rule of developing acronyms on their first occurence seems to have gone out of fashion !
If this were a direct client of mine, I would definitely ask him to do so, explaining that SI can stand for quite à lot of things in the medical world. |
