Un déficit moteur a été noté dans 11 % des cas. Le plus souvent il s'agissait d'hémiplégie ou d'hémiparésie, parfois de monoplégie, exceptionnellement de quadriplégie. Deux cas de paraparésie ont été signalés.
Dans la plupart des cas, les hémiplégies ont évolué vers la spasmodicité. Dans quelques cas
(monoparésie, quadriparésie, paraparésie) la paralysie est restée flasque, et a fait discuter la possibilité d'une atteinte médullaire, surtout lorsque s'y ajoutait une rétention d'urines.

Most inclusive formulation and possibly most idiomatic than lesions, which implies a more focal localization , even if widespread and multiple. Here it would seem vaccination induced damage may have produced cellular damage rather than what would be called "spinal lesions", even if the latter may also be technically "correct".
