As I understand it, these are practitioners who are not part of the general public service career structure of public hospitals in France. They work in sessions/blocks and are thus not salaried. They may or may not be specialists. In some countries, a close equivalent would be "sessional practitioner" (Australia, UK).
They are not necessarily foreign graduates - whereas "praticien adjoint contractuel" is a statute that concerns strictly foreigners. |
