French to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general)
French term or phrase: respecté
This comes up several times in a report on a cardiology patient:
I think it means something specific in this context (not 'complied' or 'respected' etc).
Thank you for any suggestions.

Explanation:
"Il existe une lésion résiduelle non menacante respectée à l'ostium" There is a residual, unthreatening (benign) lesion unchanged in the ostium. Maybe?

Thanks to SJLD for the suggestions first. In the end, 'left untreated' seemed to fit my context best.

8.8.1. A quelles lésions anatomiques correspond l'ischémie intestinale aiguë ?

This diagram lays out in schematic form some of the salient features of the two major subdivisions of the intestine, and highlights their similarities and differences. These are key things that will enable you to distinguish them from each other in the microscope. Overall the intestines have the normal form expected of tubular organs, including the four "tunics" discussed in Exercise 18, the tunica mucosa, tunica submucosa, tunica muscularis externa, and the tunica serosa.
