Medical - Medical (general) / cardiology - coronary angiography
French term or phrase: salle PRD
Institut de Cardiologie de Montreal ACCOAST study - coronary angiography report.

In the "Journal d'événements" section, it lists the Time, Summary (i.e. medication given to patient) and Comments. It says the patient arrived at Hemodynamics at 8:03:24 A.M. At 8:04:01 A.M. he arrived at the "SALLE PRD". Could this be a preparation room of some kind? The next recorded comments are:
"CONSENTEMENT SIGNE AU DOSSIER
PAS D'ALLERGIE CONNUE
MEDECIN SUR PLACE..."

salle Paul R. David

Explanation:
This is really a guess.

Paul R. David MD, FACC was the founder of the Montreal Heart Institute. I suspect they named a room after him, likely an important spot, such as an amphitheater or reception area.

Stylistic note: If I am correct about the meaning of PRD, then one could consider "Salle PRD" as the proper name of a location. As such, I would leave salle (room) untranslated.

agree  SJLD: yes, I was thinking it could be something like that - in any case, as I said above, it could be anything. No evidence whatsoever for saying it's a prep room (or a R&D project room - what is that?) with a confidence level of 3!!!

-> Thanks Sue. I decided to enter the suggestion when I discovered that Dr. David's middle initial was "R". Disregarding letter frequency, there was only a 4% chance of coincidence, 7/1000 of a percent if you take all 3 initials! ;-)
