French term or phrase: bain broyé
I'm looking for an English translation of the term "bain broyé", as in the following example:

[context: patent for “compact service module intended for electrolytic aluminium production plants”]

“L'unité de service sert à effectuer des opérations sur les cellules telles que les changements d'anode ou le remplissage des trémies d'alimentation en bain broyé et en AIF3 des cellules d'électrolyse”

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

crushed ore bath
Explanation:
Bain broyé MAY be the molten bath itself, ie as supplied by the (already crushed) bauxite feed hoppers. Incidentally, it's AlF3, ie aluminium fluoride, which is used to lower the temperature of the molten electrolyte.

Thanks for your answer and comments. I think the fairly literal "crushed bath" is best here.
