AAG? 08:26 Oct 29, 2010
Does air-to-ground gunnery (AAG) cover only machine guns and cannon, or does it also include rockets and missiles?
I ASSUME restitution refers to "restitution" on a screen, for instance, of the results of acquisition and analysis of a projectile's flight path. I can't see it applying to the more sophisticated missiles which I believe can be programmed to "duck and dive" or change course and head for a different target to the one they are apparently aimed at.
It would be interesting to know if this system is for the defender to predict where incoming ordinance will hit, or for the attacker to "autopsy" the attack and see where things might have gone wrong. More context available? |
