French to English translations [PRO] Mining & Minerals / Gems / resume of girl working in jewelry business
French term or phrase:livre des confiés
- Assurer la jonction administrative entre X et les ateliers, gérer les contrats liés avec les entreprises correspondantes et gérer le livre des confiés.
From the resume of a girl who worked for a jewelry firm. This was apparently the record kept of the stones sent to the workshops to be made into pieces of jewelry. I think.
I was unable to confirm with the client what the precise context was, so I am reluctant to choose an answer. But thank you for your input! I am so grateful to have colleagues to consult with!

Explanation: This might not fit your context, but I just wanted to let you know that I came across this same term a couple of years ago and couldn't find it anywhere so I asked the client. The client said it's called an "appro book" in English, but wasn't sure what it meant! However, my text was about a chain of retail stores. The agency project manager thought it might mean a list of accessories lent out to store salespeople to show off the brand's products, but she wasn't sure. However, it's a different context than yours so I'm not sure whether it applies. Could you ask the client?
