neutral Anne de Freyman: do you recommend the split infinitive?
0 min
  -> In this case, yes. I think the phrase is sufficiently widely used to almost be a compound verb and the infinitive is not **very** split.

agree Philippe Maillard
10 mins
  -> Thanks Philippe

agree Pierre Renault: Nothing wrong with splitting infinitives. Our Mission: To boldly go where no translators has gone before.
11 mins
  -> Thanks Pierre. I shall endeavour to go boldly rather than to boldly go. Interesting mix of singular verb and plural noun - it all makes language sooo interesting!

agree Bourth: To make use of it commercially (it may have been used before, to fill in holes or something ...). And I wouldn't split hairs about splitting infinitives when it enables me to more easily achieve what I want (as opposed to what I want more easily)
40 mins
  -> humm ... expensive holes.
