French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Music / recording techniques
French term or phrase: fixer matériellement
This is actually from a contract although the term concerns recording techniques:
"XX pourra fixer matériellement la composition par tous les moyens connus ou inconnus à ce jour."

Meaning XX can record the composition onto any media (CD, tape, DVD etc.) Would "record" suffice as a translation? Plan B translation is "materialise".

Many thanks!

I'd avoid "record" since the author avoided "enregistrer"

Asker: Thanks Vaughn - Your answer appeared after I closed the question. Based on a past Kudoz I think I will put "physically reproduce."
