Explanation:
"Multicasting" seems to be the equivalent to "multidiffusion", but both terms seem to be used mostly in fairly technical internet contexts and I'm not sure if that's the sense here.

In any case, I don't think this is about going 'beyond stereo', which is about parts of the one sound 'channel' (beyond stereo in that case would be 'surround sound'), whereas what is suggested here is multiple channels - ie the simultaneous broadcast of different sound sources rather than the different parts of one sound source - something like 'multimedia' in the sound domain.

"Simultaneous broadcast of multiple sound media" would be my stab at what this means here.

  -> You're right it's a guess, but I don't think broadcasting and live performance are necessarily incompatible in this context.
