Often used in French to refer to the sense of listenng to music or to sound used in a musical fashion, in musique concrète it is most often translated as sound. However here with piano there is no doubt that we are talking of musical sound, and the simplest way of communicating the idea is to use musical, which doesn't distract the reader from the central idea, while losing nothing, unless the composer is playing prepared piano, making "non-musical" sounds with the instrument.. |
