| | English translation:carrying tube | Explanation: By process of elimination, but more context would help, hence low confidence. A "canne" would be long and thin to contain the particular type of probe as a carrying case. I assume the probe itself is long and thin so as to be able to stick down holes, into walls etc. On the other hand, could the "canne" be carrying the probe itself on the end?
I also assume (erroneously?) that what is being sampled is a radioactive gas such as Radon.
