French term or phrase: operculaire
I'm translating a CV for a nuclear engineer so only have the very barest information available.

He says he worked on the EMEM à operculaire et à barillet COGEMA

I've managed to find Mobile enclosure for material evacuation for EMEM but I can't find operculaire in anything other than a medical sense. I have referred it back to the client but I'm up against a tight deadline so wondered if anyone had any other ideas? I'm assuming the barillet is some kind of drum.

Maybe "sealable" is better. It minimises radioactive leakage.

Explanation:
I imagine they started with "EMEM operculaire", found "EMEM barilletaire didn't work, switched - or intended to switch - to "EMEM à opercule et à barillet" only forgot to correct "operculaire".

Autres : banc de prises d'échantillons, télémanipulateurs, châteaux d'entretien (EMEM) À OPERCULE, À BARILLET.

As to what it actually is and what you call it ... Membrane, foil?

I came across a site with a German translation of this in which the word "Folie" was used. I'll see if I can find it again ...

Ignore that last comment. I found it, but I was barking up the wrong tree (OPERCULE DESTINE A UN EMBALLAGE-COQUE-TRADUCTION-DECKFOLIE FÜR BLISTERVERPACKUNGEN - "emballage" and "coque" had me thinking this was nucular).
