French to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Nuclear Eng/Sci | | French term or phrase: colonnes descendantes RMM | Repérage des différents tronçons des **colonnes descendantes RMM**par rapport au 0 degré couvercle.
I wonder if anyone could help me with this, especially the RMM bit as I can't find what that refers to.
It is a document about a Nuclear Power Plant that I'm translating into (UK) English.
Thanks! |
| | | English translation:RRM downcomers | Explanation: Note that this is predicated upon your RMM in fact being RRM, the trigramme for Refroidissement des mécanismes de grappes, expanded in English as "CRDM (control rod drive mechanism) Ventilation System". This would certainly be in the reactor vessel which is presumably what is fitted with a couvercle here.
"Downcomer" is something of a long shot. The AFNOR nuclear dictionary gives this as collecteur annulaire, colonne descente, espace annulaire, specifying that it is in relation to steam generators, which is a long way from the reactor vessel. |
