French to English translations [PRO] Medical - Nutrition / Philosophical | | French term or phrase: A masse musculaire identique Depense Energetique de Repos (DER) | context
A masse musculaire identique - the text has been describing BMI calculations, and then it says this. I need to know the technical term in English, for this and also for Depense Energique de Repos (and the acronym). (I am sorry that it is really two terms together, but they come together in the text, and really seem to define each other by the context)
The DER is given as equal to or less than 8 to 12% (if that helps).

| | Clarification request(s) and responseRita Heller: 11:05pm Aug 28, 2005: just copy and paste the text again in another question, thanks - mportal (asker): 9:35am Aug 29, 2005: Rita, I am not sure why I need to do this.
Thank you. Is REE in En/Br? Is this different from BMR(basal metabolic rate)? Rita Heller: 3:13pm Aug 29, 2005: The rules state one term per question AND, more importantly, it's a nightmare for organizing the glossary (what would the next person search for?) - mportal (asker): 7:57pm Aug 29, 2005: Sorry,Rita, I hadn't considered the glossary. Maybe I could email you about that later, and sort something out. I'm afraid I don't understand what your question in brackets refers to. mportal (asker): 8:04pm Aug 29, 2005: Thank you both very much for your answers. I have to choose one, and Rachel added a bit more information (- I wouldn't worry about the typo, it's, as you say, DocteurPC, the kind of mistake anyone can make)

| | identical muscular mass resting energy expenditure/REE | Explanation: Energy expenditure at rest and during exercise in nonobese female cyclical ...
if resting energy expenditure (REE) and exercise energy expenditure (EEE) ..

I think REE is used in UK - resting energy expenditure is and it would be abbreviated later in a text if repeated
I just looked at BMR REE on Google and there seems to be some debate about it |
