Marketing - Other / Horology
French term or phrase: aux index
Hello all,
Horology not being one of my specialities, I can't figure out what the following watch part is called in English.

" le cadran noir qui offre une excellente lisibilité grâce aux chiffres arabes et **aux index**"

It's a marketing document and has mentioned "les index" a few times, sometimes set with diamonds. Can you help?

Many thanks in advance,
Lisa

index marks
Explanation:
It means the lines used in place of numbers on the dial. For example, some clocks have twelve index marks; others have the 3, 6, 9 and 12 in Arabic numerals.

You could just say "index" if it was in the singular, which it isn't here.

Many thanks. In this case, the client preferred just "index" or "indexes", as you say above :)
