Can anybody help me understand the sentences below, and put 'ponté' in the right perspective?
Context:
The text is about the technical specifications of a cap for tubes used in cosmetics/pharmaceuticals.

Remarque:
La force d'arrachement de la languette est caractérisée au développement du produit. Elle correspond à la déchirure des 2 pontés et se situe entre 2 et 15N.
I am finding it difficult to see what object or part of an object is 'ponté' referring to...
