curator of national sites and monuments

Explanation:

I can not think of a 2-word term in English which has exactly the same sense as domaine national in this contect. In France it applies to the entire realm of national monments, including historic estates, domains, parks and gardens etc.

Hence, curator of national monuments is not quite suffifiently all-encompassing.

The other option is simply to leave it in French as curator of the domaine national of the Louvre and the Tuilleries (with or without explanation depending on the target audience).A browse through the web links below would suggest that this approach is not totally inappropriate in circumstances where oganisations, government departments etc. do not have a direct equivalent in another jurisdiction.
