in an email address you have to give a certain amount of caracters including spaces.
- : "trait d'union", would be "dash"
/ : would be "slash"

"chiffres" et "lettres" would be "letters" and "numbers"

@ : "arobase", would be "at"

One talks about there being a need for so many caracters including spaces or with some addresses, spaces are not allowed.
