French term or phrase: note de fonds
Hi all - this is from a job description for a communications consultant. I have never heard the term "note de fonds". Has anyone come across this term before?

"• Ecrire des matériaux de communication : communiqués de presse, présentations, *notes de fonds* sur les thèmes liés au travail de la XXX"

This is a text originating in Gabon.

Any help appreciated! Many thanks.

Explanation:
I think you'll find it's a typo for "notes de fond". It's the only way I can see that it makes sense.

agree  chris collister: Probably, unless it refers to "funds". As ever, context is all!

-> Given that this is a comms consultant and there is no other mention of funds or matters financial, I think it's reasonably unlikely
