"Encore faut-il s'assoir (ou s'allonger) un moment pour mediter sur la chose"
Obviously there is an allusion to psychologists, as in French we use the expression "s'allonger" to refer to someone following a therapy. Would I keep this meaning in english if I use litteral translation? Thanks in advance

The phrase simply plays on the stock expression 's'asseoir', which in this context means to stop and think, so the writer makes a slight correction and says: in fact lie down - to put it literally. And f course, you have to change the whole phrase to fit and still retain the play on words.
