|French to English translations [PRO]|
|French term or phrase: conserves et semi-conserves|
|Context: food products. I'm not too happy about preserves and semi-preserves, partly because the only internet sites I can find with these terms are translations of French or Spanish sites. I have considered "with long or medium use-by dates" but am also not totally happy about this|

"Preserves" and "semi-preserves" are the terms used in an official UK document called "The Sweeteners in Food Regulations", 1997, see URL below.
