On dit "paper machine wire" (une machine à papier peut être "single wire " or "twin wire").
D'ou l'expression "wire side" (côté toile) pour le côté du papier qui a été en contzct avec la toile pendant le processus de fabrication

METHOD OF MAKING PAPER WEB USING FLEXIBLE SHEET OF MATERIAL

L'invention porte sur un procédé de fabrication de feuilles de papier. Après avoir transféré la bande de la toile de formation (16) du papier sur la toile (20) de fabrication du papier, laquelle est de préférence munie de conduits déflecteurs, la bande est recouverte d'une feuille souple (30) de matériau (30) et se trouve donc prise entre ladite feuille (30) et la toile (20) de fabrication. La feuille, moins perméable que la toile (20) de fabrication, est de préférence imperméable à l'air. L'application d'un différentiel (P) de pression d'un fluide sur la feuille entraîne le fléchissement d'une au moins de ses parties vers la toile de fabrication, et de préférence le fléchissement d'une au moins des parties de la bande vers les conduits de ladite toile et l'élimination de l'eau qu'elle contient par lesdits conduits.

A process for making a paper sheet is disclosed. After a web is transferred from a forming wire (16) to a papermaking belt (20) preferably having deflection conduits, the web is overlaid with a flexible sheet (30) of material such that the web is disposed intermediate the sheet of material (30) and the papermaking belt (20). The sheet of material (30) has an air permeability less than the papermaking belt (20), and is preferably air-impermeable. An application of a fluid pressure differential (P) to the sheet of material causes deflection of at least a portion of the sheet of material towards the papermaking belt and, preferably, deflection of at least a portion of the web into the conduits of the papermaking belt and water removal from the web through the conduits of the papermaking belt.
