Law/Patents - Patents / European Patent Office
French term or phrase: agent des formalités
This person, working at the Opposition Division of the European Patent Office, has signed and sent a decision on a patent. I have it tentatively down as "dispatcher" but am not at all sure. Please confirm or correct.

SwissTell (asker): 7:15pm Jun 29, 2007: Sarah: I cannot use Examiner, as further above there is a list of people in the Opposition Division handling the case... -
SwissTell (asker): 7:17pm Jun 29, 2007: ... and outside of the Prfesident there is the 1st and the 2nd Examiner and does a Patent Clerk really sound "upgrade"? -
Kim Metzger: 7:43pm Jun 29, 2007: Sound "upgrade"?

examiner
Explanation:
According to Wikipedia, "A patent examiner or patent clerk is an employee, usually a civil servant, working within a patent office."
I think "dispatcher" plays down the role too much.
