French to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Printing & Publishing / Industrial printing machine | | French term or phrase: fusil du jet d'encre | This is in the description of a machine used to print things on hoses and pipes. I know that you clean an inkjet head... but how does "fusil" work here?? I am sure (I hope) this will seem very obvious to someone familiar with printing.

3. NETTOYAGE
La tête "fusil du jet d'encre" doit être nettoyé lorsqu'on l'utilise périodiquement, avec du solvant en vaporisant le fusil afin d'enlever l'encre qui est séché, lorsque la machine est en repos.
Procédure: Toujours mettre l’imprimante Vidéo-Jet à la position «OFF» avant de nettoyer le fusil. Enlever le fusil de son support "enveloppe métallique" et vaporiser de façon à voir l'orifice d'où sort l'encre et qu'il ne reste plus d'encre sèche et qu'il soit propre.
Assécher le fusil avec l’air comprimé avant de le remettre à sa place.
N.B.: Toujours laisser l’imprimante branchée sur le 110 volts pour que l’encre soit bien brassé même si on n’utilise pas la machine. Lors du nettoyage, toujours s'installer au dessus d'un linge ou d'un récipient afin d'absorber ou récupérer le solvant pour ne pas en répandre partout sur le plancher ou dans le système de traitement des eaux. Disposer du linge ou du récipient selon la GME-46-01-000001. |
