Psychology / character trait
French term or phrase: généreux
This is not my usual language pair (DE-EN) so I am a bit stuck with this term. I am translating the tribute which was spoken about someone at his funeral, so the language I use can be quite casual.
The sentence goes: "Restant une personne énigmatique et introvertie, Pierre est un père de famille intègre, extremement loyal et généreux."
I suspect that there is more to this word than just being generous with money, how can I express it?

Well, this was pretty convincing, and I can now be sure that the other meaning of "generous" is implied in English, to. I might just take up Wendy's idea, too, though.
