French term or phrase: tant sa part d'insu
L'acces au travail reel n'est jamais donne, offert, y compris pour son auteur lui-meme, tant sa part d'insu, de meconnu est grande, du fait des differents filtres et freins au devoilement et a l'eboration de l'activite.

This is a long article and this sentence is pretty indicative of the general style, IMO, wordy and redundant. I'm slogging my way through fairly successfully, but I just can get anywhere with this phrase "tant sa part d'insu"

my guesses are "unless he is unaware" or "to the extent that he is unaware"

so lacking is his knowledge and understanding due to...
Explanation:
My understanding here is that the subject is never given access to "real work" because there are "filtres et freins" obstructing his global view of what the purpose of the work is, and as a result, he lacks knowledge and understanding of the overall process. I tried to go for an odd but legitimate literary connecting clause (so x is...) that seems as florid as the source text.

since there is so much he doesn't know or doesn't know properly

Explanation:
sa part and grande go together
tant = so much as the previous comment pointed out

I've used "since" because I wante dto keep "given" for the next word of the sentence
