French term or phrase: adosser / adossement
I know this term has come up before, but I can't find the right words here. It is in reference to a property investment company:
Many thanks in advance for your help.

Dans le but de clarifier sa stratégie, la société a décidé d’engager l’adossement de ses deux principales activités.

Cette activité ne pouvant se développer au sein de la société, il a été décidé de l’adosser à un acteur de référence.

adosser / adossement
consolidation / incorporation / amalgamation / merger

Explanation:
The company has decided to initiate the merger/consolidation of its two main business operations (scopes of business).

It was been decided to incorporate/merge it (the activity) (in)to a key player.

KWS and Limagrain merge their corn activities in North America KWS et Limagrain vont fusionner leurs activités de semences de maïs en Amérique du Nord ...

"Adjoin" seems to be the closest match to both the implied meaning and the literal sense original term.

However, the most recommended in the context, I think is

"incorporation/consolidation/amalgamation/merger or of business operations".

All are terms used in both formal or informal contexts. "Amalgamation" is used more often in the context of separate companies, but it is also used within the same company.

You can chose either one:
"Algol to incorporate its business divisions. Algol is restructuring its organisation by incorporating its operations. The five current sales divisions will ..."

"Amalgamation or reorganization of an enterprise. The conditions of employment applied to an employee pursuant to a special arrangement for the handicapped and the conditions of employment applied temporarily to an employee following a reclassification or demotion, an amalgamation of enterprises or an internal reorganization in an enterprise shall be disregarded for the purposes of section 87.1."
