Après avoir représenté un véritable secteur de report pour les services back-offices de grandes banques telles que XXXXX ou YYY, la 1ère Couronne marque un net ralentissement au cours du 1er semestre 2009 avec 112 000 m² placés contre 455 000 m² au 1er semestre 2008.
Un "secteur " ou "marché de report" désigne, dans l'immobilier, un secteur géographique ou un type de biens sur lesquels les investisseurs reportent leur préférence d'achat dans certaines circonstances, conjoncturelles en général.

Explanation: There's undoubtedly much better term for this, but this is what it appears to mean, lowering one's social aspirations and moving a little further out of town where property is more affordable. That at least is the meaning for buyers; not so sure about the back offices ... Does it mean that banks used to locate their back offices in this sector?????

Even so, rkillings, is not "location, location, location" of importance in attracting top-quality personnel? I don't actually know what back-offices do or what calibre of personnel is required, but by locating outside of Paris you're restricting your employment catchment to one side of town pretty much. Being centrally located means you can more easily attract the best from all around the city. If location were not important, could they not have that army of clerks in Bangalore or Rabat?
