Steel backing for sign Explanation: Certainly something like that. Whether this was just a sheet of steel (presumably, rather than aluminium, etc.) on which the supermarket name (or "Poissonerie", for example) was painted or some part of a more elaborate illuminated sign I don't know, but at face value I'd go for the simple version. I'm thinking "fond en tôle pour enseigne, 13 m de long". Don't know how much a 13 m long piece of sheet steel costs (we don't know the width, mind you), but 1000 euros does seem a lot. Maybe the cost included signwriting. |
