I can't get the French term out of my head, I know exactly what it means, and seem to think that it can be used in English, but am not entirely sure. Any help much appreciated!

Here's the entire sentence:

Les "fashionistas" adorent la pastille ronde griffée qui fait la jointure entre le verre et la branche, estampille raffinée qui fait toute la particularité de ces lunettes Vogue.

  -> Thank you! (It's in the online American dico too, but I didn't bother giving it as a Reference because it's not UK English.) BTW, it's not being in the French dico might account for the quote marks in French – probably not needed in English.
