I have almost no context, it's a xls with hundreds of short, frequently mis-spelled terms, mostly in caps.

This one comes between PLATEAU MELAMINE DECOR NATURE and GOBELET COORDONNEES AU COLORIS NATURE which, in turn, are in a block of terms relating to tableware of various sorts.

Explanation:
I can confirm that VAJ is commonly used as an abbreviation for 'vaiselle à jeter' — and this is sort of confirmed by the use of 'gobelet', since this is more commonly found as a 'plastic cup' than its other meanings.

This is one of those things where you need to be here, immersed in the culture, to know it readily — this abbreviation is what you will find, for example, on your till receipt if you buy this sort of thing at the supermarket; it's also what you find as internal codes on shelf-edge labels etc. (if you're a sad git like me who peers myopically at them, frowning!)
