This seems to be a relatively new concept, and I'm not sure what the English equivalent is. Here is a French definition:

Concept novateur, ***l’hôtel à projet*** aura pour fonction d’accueillir de manière temporaire des équipes de recherche de niveau international ayant des expertises complémentaires aux 3 équipes fondatrices afin de permettre l’appropriation de nouvelles compétences par l’institut et de favoriser l’efficacité de la recherche.

Thanks for this suggestion Alison. This is what I'll be using. I agree with Phil that a literal translation wouldn't work. In my text, there is no explanation as to what a "hôtel à projet" is, so the English equivalent has to be self-explanatory. I think that "innovation centre" fits the bill perfectly.
