Homogeneity seems to be a much-used word in scientific texts, which I assume yours is. So "guaranteeing homogeneity of action" may seem cumbersome, but it's what scientists tend to use:

Asker: Thanks Marian. I did find this but wasn't sure exactly what it meant! Will a literal translation do here?

Asker: Thank you again. I agree, but "of the process" stuck on the end just seemed odd to me.
