French term or phrase: inclinaison tge
Any ideas what "tge" is? And how should I translate both words together?

In an "attestation" "pour l'attribution des symboles de classification I 3/3 E YACHT"

In the section "Mesure de la stabilité initiale transversale":
"- moment inclinant p. gueuses Kg
- bras du levier mm

Inclinaison tge - élongation
longueur du pendule = 0.0218934"

"élongation" is being divided by "longueur du pendule"

tangent inclination

Explanation:
Low confidence, but without seeing more of the document, I'm guessing that the ratio elongation/pendulum length is defining an angle. If so, it's quite small: the arctangent of 0.0219 is just 1.25°. Does this make sense? (tge = tangente, though this is more often written as tg in FR)

I should have said that in EN, the notation is tan(angle) = (dimensionless number)

agree  chris collister: Yes, this makes perfect sense! But there is still the ratio 0.0219 to interpret.// Um, yes, it is the sin, not tan. Mea culpa.

agree  Didier Fourcot: More likely in context, and also because élongation/longueur du pendule = sinus of the angle, not tangent, albeti for small angles both values are close, the definition should be right?
