French term or phrase: coque résistante
Hello,

I'm not sure how to translate 'coque résistante' in this sentence :

"Cette procédure est la suite de la découpe de la coque résistante."

I think it should be 'pressure hull' but would like confirmation from a 'savant' if possible!

The text is taken from welding instructions concerning a submarine.

Another example of 'coque résistante' : Ce document a pour but de décrire les différentes phases liées à la réalisation de la jonction de fermeture de la coque résistante des 2 sous-marins équatoriens U209.

Thanky
