The Chasse-Marée book is a good buy too if you get involved in historic or traditional sailing vessels.
Otherwise, the yachties on Proz (there are many of us!) will always give you a hand: and get involved in long discussions, too ... !

I do indeed run into nautical terms in my texts, and am always looking for useful reference books - as I unfortunately have a large number of not-so-useful ones. I'll put this one on my wish list for Christmas! :-)

If you anticipate more nautical texts in the future, you may find it useful to acquire one of the nautical almanacs, which are usually bilingual - eg the Bloc Marine (Interval Editions: www.blocmarine.com) which you should be able to order online from the publisher or Amazon. Most of its sections are bilingual, and cover just about everything to do with sailing.
