French term or phrase: débit d'équivalent de dose
A foreign government has appointed a French company to build some projection and command ships and the agreement I'm working on is for the supply of a communication system and radar watch system. Under a clause concerning radionuclides, if the subcontractor intends to use radioactive sources with the agreement of the parties, it must produce various dossiers containing information about those sources. The dossier relating to "appareils électriques émettant des rayonnements ionisants" must include the following: "un **débit d'équivalent de dose** a une distance de 0,1 m de sa surface accessible dans les conditions normales d'utilisation, et la différence de potentiel a laquelle l'appareil fonctionne". Any suggestions would be much appreciated - thanks very much!

Ambient dose equivalent rate

Explanation:
Good morning,

Let's have a try...
See Web.Ref.1 to understand what it's all about: it will tell you the unit is "sievert per second".
Then, WeB.Ref.2 clarifies (in English) what this measurement is meant for !

débit d\'équivalent de dose
dose equivalent rate

Explanation:
Hi All,
I would suggest to drop "ambient" since we are talking about a radioactivity exposure rate unit. "Equivalent" accounts for the different biological effects of absorption by biological tissues.
