In this context, I was going to use "create or raise awareness" UK English, pls see below thanks

In this context, I thought 'raise awareness' was good in the first part but for the second time that it appears, perhaps what these organisations are doing is "performing outreach, training, supporting youth by making them aware/ raising their awareness...

  -> thanks... but I believe 'prendre conscience'='raise awareness' so the reason I went with 'faire savoir=perform outreach' earlier in the sentence
