Maybe aqua leisure pool would be more appropriate?

agree  Ingeborg Gowans: yes from : aqua water and ludus : play (Latin) this would make perfect sense
5 mins

agree  Marie-Claude Falardeau: Yes, a place where people can have "fun" in the water :-)
6 mins

agree  Sandra Petch: some ghits for "recreationAL pool" vs. a lap pool. Again, I think the water part is implicit.
15 mins

agree  Charlie Bavington: Possibly in contrast to something more "sportif". Like others, I think it seems unlikely that it's filled with anything other than water :-)

water play pool/water play area

Explanation:
With 'ludique' I'd definitely have the word 'play' in there somewhere. It looks like it might be a pool or area where you can play water sports or just play around with accessories (balls, hoops, floaters and such.)

along the lines of Claire's suggestion, 'aqua fun (area)' would keep it in line with the original French.
