unstoppable (offense) / impenetrable (defense) / invincible (offense or defense)

Explanation:
When an individual is excited and moving his blood circulates very quickly and his muscle tissue swells. This makes him appear larger than is customary. When an entire team is pumped up in this fashion they form an impenetrable wall; there is no stopping them.

It has little to do with pride. It is called teamwork, a belief in oneself, and a desire to win.
