French term or phrase: Challenge du nombre
This expression is in a text about a race (running). It says that the team came "en tête du challenge du nombre". I understand that this is a race where the points are awarded for the number of participants a team enters into a race, as well as for the time in which they finish, but I cannot find the term in English. Can anyone help me please?

-> Maybe, although I once participated in a relay marathon with my company. The company who entered the most teams of four won a special prize. I think this might be a similar sort of thing.
