Competitors' village


Explanation:
If the event is to be held over a number of days, you might be able to translate quartier as village. I recently worked at a week-long tennis tournament which had a 'players' village' - a place where the players stayed, relaxed, ate and trained between matches. If you're writing about a small, one-off event it might not be suitable, but it's a very common term in sport and could be an option.
