This is from an article about underwater fishing. I'm not sure what kind of diving technique is referred to here:

Pendant 5 heures (en moyenne), il va s’évader en alliant l’effort physique au plaisir d’être sous l’eau. Quelle que soit la technique utilisée (plongée à trou, l’agachon ou la coulée), « tous les sens sont en éveil : yeux, muscles, ouïe. Le défi est permanent : il faut arriver à s’y fondre. C’est pourquoi si on n’aime pas la nature il n’est pas possible d’être chasseur ! »

neutral  Catharine Cellier-Smart: "hole diving" refers to a type of diving, whereas the asker's question refers to a type of fishing. Also your reference says "... not allowed to touch or take anything out of the sea or harm the sea creatures in any way."//Not IMHO as a diver myself

  -> Hi Catherine. The context of the asker's term is certainly fishing, but perhaps a certain type of diving technique (hole diving) can be used when fishing.The fact that this Croation site forbids fishing is irrelevant, it's just an example of hole diving.
