(high-pressure) water jet cutting ; vacuum thermoforming Explanation: Both of these techniques are used in the construction of modern yachts (sailmaking & hull structure, surfbaords etc respectively) 1 - "Water jet cutting" = coupe (découpe) à jet d'eau. Here's an URL of a company in Alberta specialising in water jet cutting (and cleaning). High-pressure / ultra-high pressure often precedes the "water jet cutting", depending on just how fast the water is pushed out. www.aqualaser.com 2 - I think there is a typo in your original as the term is "thermoforming" with an "r". This technique is clearly explained on the New Zealand site which is multi-lingual : www.camtrain.co.nz/learning_units_vacuum_thermoforming.html In boat construction, resin is pumped into a mould in a vacuum which forces the resin onto the walls of the mould. Commonly used in plastic packaging.
