French term or phrase: questions on géotextiles terminology
1.Can anyone help with translating 'grilles' in this context? "...(des toiles) avec des grilles très ouvertes rendent possibles des applications très diverses...." maybe, lattice or latticework, i'm only guessing...
2.(Rather technical) [process of manufacturing these textiles]... procédé qui consiste à exercer une tension en chaine et en trame avant et pendant toutes les opérations d'enduction.

grid ; filling ; warp

Explanation:
1-probably "grid" but could be referring to the "weave"

2- trame = "filling" : fil qui parcourt perpendiculièrement au fils de trame, donc horizontalement

3- chaîne = "warp" fils qui courent dans l'autre sens & qui s'netrecroisent avec le fils de trame

General knowledge from sailmaking and from the GDT

GDT gives a full range of definitions for each of these terms. It may well come in useful for the rest of your traduc.
