It may be the name of a company. Any ideas?

"Plates with cable through-holes. as manufactured by Tremis: 240 French francs per hole; obturators, 270 French francs each."
Here, the number of through-holes (for passage of the cables) determines the size of the plates, and hence the price. The obturators are used to block any holes that aren't used.
