French term or phrase: carte de service

This is a type of printed circuit board. However, I do not even find "carte de service" in French anywhere in this context, much less that correct English term. The list of circuit boards includes, among others: "carte de service," "carte de service pour le calculateur hôte" et la "carte de service esclave." Since I can't find "service board." I do by the way, find "slave board," but no "slave service board," so I wonder whether this "service" here really means anything at all. The other components listed are the carte logic (logic board), carte de routage (routing board), carte mémoire (memory board), "carte entrée/sortie" (input/output board), and "carte fonds de panier" (backplane board). Any of you techies out there feel free to tell me if I got any of these wrong.
