French term or phrase: technique de pêche - pêche à la caille
I have two definitions but no term. Any ideas? Here are the definitions :

1 - pêche à la traîne avec un appât formé d'un panier remorqué rempli de déchets. Cette pêche se pratique essentiellement au maquereau.

2 - ce principe traîne sur le fond un lourd plomb prolongé par la ligne, les hameçons et le leurre.

Explanation:
Thanks GOLUB! Here's a bit more info, as "pêche à la caille" is in fact a technique which comes under the heading of one of three types of "trolling" referred to in my text. For that reason I do not think "trolling" alone is sufficient. However, the "pêche au plomb" analogy is helpful. I can get round it in context although it would be helpful to have a specific term if one exists.

My text cites 3 types of trolling techniques (pêche à la traîne):
- traîne au fond
- traîne de pleine eau
- traîne en surface.

I have terms for all three just not the specific one as mentionned.

Explanation:
Trolling appears to be the most common term, but any one of these terms can be used. It describes a method of fishing which consists essentially in dragging through the water a bait or bright object to which a hook is attached. It is employed for the capture of predaceous surface-feeding fishes.
